       BY PLANE

    At 25 km from the city centre, Lyon’s Saint Exupéry airport is a major plane and train transport hub for the Rhone-Alpes region.

    The Rhônexpress Shuttle service brings passengers to the Lyon city centre running every 15 – 30 minutes (http://www.lyonaeroports.com/en/access-transports/tram).
    The Rhônexpress ticket desk is located on the 1st floor of the airport’s main hall, open from 5 am to 11 pm. Tickets can also be purchased online, from a machine on the Rhônexpress departure platform located in the airport’s railway station or on the shuttle. The shuttle’s terminus is Lyon’s main Part-Dieu railway station. The conference centre at the ENS can be reached from the Part-Dieu station using the B metro line (direction “Gare d’Oullins”) getting off at “Debourg” metro station (the journey should take about 10 minutes and there are 5 stops).

      BY TRAIN
     

    Part-Dieu and Perrache are the two main train stations in the city. There is also a railway station at Lyon’s Saint Exupéry airport (25 kms from Lyon centre) that is connected to the city centre using the Rhônexpress Shuttle.
    Approximate travel times: 2 hours to Paris (trains run every 60 minutes), 3 hours to Lille, 5 hours to London (Eurostar).

    Arriving at Part Dieu Station:
    Take the Metro B line and follow the direction “Gare d’Oullins” that connects directly the Part-Dieu station with the ENS Lyon. Get off at the “Debourg” Station. The journey should not last more than 10 minutes (5 stops).

    Arriving at Perrache Station:
    Take the Tram line 1 direction “Debourg” and get off  at  “Debourg” (terminal station),
    Alternatively take the C22 bus direction “Grange Blanche” and get off  at “Debourg”.
